What it does (English):
Bai Zi Ren is very versatile in it healing powers. It can be is used for headache, nervousness, for cancer, constipation, convulsions, dysmenorrhea, ejaculation problems, narrowing of intestine, fever, vomiting blood, hemorrhage, insomnia, painful menses, heavy menstrual flow, irregular and variable menstrual bleeding, nausea, palpitation, perspiration, rheumatism, tumors, and as a tonic.
Other ways to use Bai Zi Ren is for nosebleed, piles, for burns and scalds, and as a hair tonic.
Clinical Use (Chinese):
Nourishes the Heart and quiets the Spirit, moistens the Intestines and frees the bowels, constrains Yin and Stops sweating. It is indicated for deficiency vexation, insomnia, palpitations, night sweating due to Yin deficiency, and Intestinal dryness with constipation.
Biota orientalis or Platycladus Orientalis (L.)
Nourishes the Heart and quiets the Spirit, moistens the Intestines and frees the bowels, constrains Yin and Stops sweating.
Bai Zi Ren should be used with caution in cases of loose stool or copious sputum.
